The Commissioners have arranged for the path from Fairy Cottage down to Laxey Beach to be cut by their contractor.
This is an emergency measure following repeated unsuccessful requests to the DoI. The Commissioners will continue to lobby the Department to ensure that all public rights of way are kept passable in the Sheading.

Surface dressing with chippings is likely to begin on the A2 through the Sheading this week. Baldrine, New Road in Laxey, and Slieau Lewaigue in Maughold are the primary areas that will receive attention. Please drive carefully past any workers on the Highway.
