Beach Buddies are asking residents to ‘adopt’ a small section of beach or coastline and provide some TLC. (See & hear on Manx Radio Here).

Environmental Titan, Bill Dale, and the wonderful Alex Bell particularly mentioned Laxey Beach and Port Cornaa this morning on Manx Radio as potential areas that could become your patch.
Beach Buddies will supply necessary equipment and guidance to anyone keen to take on an adoption – and its all paperwork and bureaucracy free.

The Commissioners currently support Beach Buddies in providing collection facilities for beach detritus at Port Lewaigue, Port-e-Vullen and Port Mooar on the Maughold ASSI coastline, and would also assist with provision of protective wear and consumables to residents taking up this new Beach Buddies Initiative in Garff. Contact Beach Buddies via their Facebook site, or call the Commissioners on 861241.
